TürkTraktör Celebrating Another Milestone: Production of the 600,000th Engine
TürkTraktör, the first manufacturer of the Turkish automotive sector and Turkey's leading company in the agriculture mechanization, reached an important milestone in its history of achievements. The only company in the Turkish tractor market with a domestic component rate of more than 90%, TürkTraktör completed the production of its 600,000th engine. The ceremony organized at the TürkTraktör Ankara factory welcomed Aykut Özüner, TürkTraktör Company Leader, and the senior management, celebrating this proud moment with all the employees who made this achievement possible.Speaking at the ceremony for the production of the 600,000th engine by TürkTraktör, Aykut Özüner, TürkTraktör Company Leader, said: “This is another important milestone in our domestic production journey. We owe this to our hardworking employees working in all the stages from design to production.” Özüner added: “Engine is the heart of a tractor, and a tractor demands an efficient, economic and powerful engine. Today, our engines power tractors in Turkey and more than 130 countries. Here, at our Ankara factory, we celebrate the production of our 600,000th engine. We had completed the production of our first 100,000 engines in nine years, but, thanks to our continuous improvement philosophy, it took only three years to manufacture the last 100,000 engines. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the members of TürkTraktör, who have devoted their days and nights to reach this milestone.”
Stating that TürkTraktör manufactured its first engine in 1994, Nebi Doğan Özdöngül, TürkTraktör Industrial Operations Business Leader, said: “Reaching this milestone is very important. We manufactured our first engine 28 years ago, in 1994. Our 100,000th engine left the production line in 2003. Eight years later, in 2011, we started the production of our first eco-friendly Stage III engine series. We have efficiently increased our production capacity thanks to our production experience and increased investments. We enjoyed in 2019 an important milestone with the production of our 500,000th engine. Despite the harsh conditions of the pandemic affecting the whole world, we completed the production of our 600,000th engine in 2022 thanks to the commitment of our employees. Again, in 2022 we proved our leadership in the sector with another achievement. We completed the first domestic production of a Stage V engine for the Turkish market in our Ankara factory in line with our world-class approach to environment. Thanks to our flexible production capability, we offer three- and four-cylinder engines producing 48 HP to 120 HP at various emission levels to meet the expectations of our customers. We will continue to lead the sector in Turkey with our world-class production capabilities, and to be a pioneer in technology and innovation.”

The TürkTraktör Ankara Factory stands out with the use of various manufacturing methods in horizontal integration, and the ability to perform heat treatment and machining as well as the assembly and tests of various components such as body, engine, front axle, hydraulic lifter, etc. in the vertical integration. Moreover, the ability to carry out all these processes proves the production flexibility and quality of the factory.
The Ankara Factory lines manufacture engine blocks, crankshafts, cylinder heads, all body boxes, hydraulic lifter components, differential boxes, brake systems, various kinds of axles, shafts and gears with pre and post heat treatment.
